EGYPT, Alexandria. Hadrian. AD 117-138. Æ Dichalkon (16mm, 2.26 g, 11h). Sebennyte Superior Nome. Dated RY 11 (AD 126/7). Laureate bust right, slight drapery on left shoulder / Oryx standing left; CEBE above, L I A (date) in fields. Köln –; Dattari (Savio) 6382; K&G N46.4; RPC III 6483; Emmett 1278.11 (R5). Red-brown patina, even roughness. VF. Very rare. Possibly the finest known, much nicer than any illustrated at RPC or found at CoinArchives.
